We have been arranging long weekend breaks for our Members for a long time now and these have proved to be one of the Group’s most popular activities, always well attended and enjoyed by all those who take the chance of getting away for a few days!

Whilst our holidays are not subsidised as such a lot of work goes in to finding the best value for money, and the most suitable venues for our Members, so that as many as possible have the opportunity to have a break, be waited on, and have a good time amongst Family and Friends.

We used to arrange two breaks a year, one in the spring, plus a “turkey & tinsel” during November, but the Spring break was not well attended and has now been dropped. We occasionally organise Bowling Holidays giving our Members the chance to mix their break with some competition against other teams from outside the normal circle in different parts of the country.

In the past we have been to Blackpool to see the lights several Hotels in Torquay, Christchurch (Dorset not New Zealand!), Bournemouth, Newquay, Bideford, Exmouth and Warners Holiday Villages on Hayling Island and the Isle of Wight.

As you can tell we try our best not to get “stuck in a rut’ and are always on the lookout for new places to take our Members. This obviously involves a lot of continuous hard work, but in our book there is nothing better than arranging somewhere to go and then seeing everyone enjoying themselves.
